Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is an actress and model. Her debut came in the Bond film called A View to a Kill in the year 1985. In 1989 she played Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Approached by a photographer Doody decided to take up modeling that eventually led to the profession of commercial modeling. Doody did not shy away from glamour or naked work, a rule that allowed her to pursue an acting profession. In 1985, following getting noticed by the directors of casting for an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody is listed within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as being one of the 12 promising actors in 1986. 38. Only 18 years old at the time she acted in the character Doody was and is one of the smallest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying, starring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 TV version of The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took probably her most high-profile part ever as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She replaced Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson part. Then she played Flannery Sheen's lover and agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. Doody played a role in The 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine was her character in a celebration for an award. In 2004, she appeared with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). In the following year, she was a guest on RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to appear in a remake in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. The year 2011 saw her debut on the second season on the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). On 21 November 2018 she was awarded by the Almeria Tierra de Cine award as well as an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
